A year full of trials and tribulations. I am so damn happy that this year is over. 2026 couldn’t come fast enough. In what has become an annual tradition, it is time for my annual reflection. Let’s look back at what I set out to do this year, see how I did, and outline my 2026 goals.
2025 Goal #1- Grow my private practice by at least 25%. There were a lot of factors going into this one that I had no control over. You never know when referrals come in, or if a staff member resigns suddenly. Well at the start of 2025, we had 118 active clients. As of today, 1/1/2026, we have 173 active clients. I blew this goal out of the water. It feels so good to see those numbers and the hard work paying off.
2026 Goal #1- Add at least two “new” services to my practice. A huge selling point for my practice has been offering a plethora of services across counseling, coaching, yoga, and more. This year I want to continue building this menu by adding medication management and expanding into another state. Although counseling isn’t a new services for us, it would be “new” going across state lines.
2025 Goal #2- Write at least 3 blog posts a month. Epic. Fail. I did not keep up with this at all. I wrote sporadically, and my own therapist yelled at me almost every session to write. She knows how much I enjoy it and how much it helps me with processing my own crazy thoughts. Definitely need to get back to it.
2026 Goal #2- Write at least 3 blog posts a month. I am going to keep this one and try it again. It is more than realistic. I just need to be disciplined. I did it before. I will do it again.
2025 Goal #3- Lose another 20 pounds and keep it off. Surprisingly, I did this one too! I switched my injection from Ozempic to Mounjaro. The switch knocked off about another 25 pounds, leading to a grand total of losing about 65 pounds. I haven’t been this light since high school, and it feels awesome.
2026 Goal #3- Lose another 10-15 pounds and keep it off. I am almost at my goal weight of 220-225 pounds. This one is more than realistic given that I am still gradually losing weight and maintaining that loss. My doctors have been saying for years that this would be an ideal weight for my body type. I am so close that I can almost taste it.
2026 Goal #4- Decrease my business debt by $30,000. Time for a BONUS GOAL! Debt has been a HUGE issue for me the last two years. Opening up a business and figuring out the cash flow took its toll on my debt-to-income ratio and credit score. Well, I am finally in a position to make the needle go the other direction. I am primarily looking to get rid of a huge short-term loan and a portion of my credit card debt.
Bring it on, 2026!
